Application Process
Can’t Find Safe, Decent Affordable Housing?
THAT’S OUR MISSION
The first step to applying for a Habitat home is to fill out the simple, one page Preliminary Application and return it to the Habitat office at 1420 Creek Trail Drive in Jefferson City. Returning it in person allows the opportunity for office staff to review the form with you. At that point, if preliminary selection criteria are met, the family would complete the long form application and be referred to our Family Selection Committee.
Habitat’s Family Selection Committee evaluates a family's application on the basis of three criteria:
- A demonstrated need for housing,
- Financial ability to buy a Habitat house, and
- Willingness and ability to "partner" with Habitat.
We can serve a single person or a family of ten or more. If you think you might qualify, contact us or download the preliminary application form.
Habitat follows a policy of non-discrimination in family selection. This housing ministry is available for any qualified individual or family without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, marital status, sex or age.
