Can Recycling Program

Our Cans for Habitat recycling program funded an entire build in 2010.  We need your help!

  • Volunteer to assist with the collection of cans
  • Volunteer to assist with delivering cans to the recycler
  • Volunteer to host a collection bin in your church or place of business
  • Volunteer to place a can cottage near your church or place of business

Your aluminum cans help build Habitat Homes!  Over the past 7 years (2003 to 2010), enough funds have been generated to build a Habitat Home on Montana Street here in Jefferson City.  To this homeowner, recycling aluminum cans means more than simply helping the environment, it is the fulfillment of her hope of owning her own home.  With your support, we hope to build the next “Can” home in less than 5 years.
