Habitat Re-Store Volunteer
The Re-Store is run by volunteers and can be a rewarding experience for anyone interested in helping. Being entirely volunteer allows us to put all of our proceeds from sales, after paying the utility bills, into building homes for deserving families. It takes over 10 volunteers per day to help our customers who are donating and purchasing. Come join us!
The Habitat Re-Store location
1420 Creek Trail Drive
(The Creek Trail Drive location is off West Edgewood between the Old Brick House Deli & St Mary’s Urgent Care. Follow Creek Trail nearly to the end, we are on the right.)
Volunteers Needed During These Hours:
Thursday 9:00 to 12:00 AM
Friday 12:30 to 5:00 PM
Saturday 9:00 to 12:00 AM
Volunteers may choose the day and time to work and as often as they like during these hours.
When you volunteer at the Habitat Re-Store, you can choose what hours you like.
Floor Sales
- Assist customers with their purchases.
- Prepare sales receipts for the customers.
- Move and help load purchases.
- Help unload customer’s donations
- Price new donations and places them on the floor
- Assist in other areas as needed
Service Counter Clerk
- Accept payments for purchases, operates the credit card machine, validates personal checks, and makes change.
- Answer customer’s questions either in person or on the phone.
- Prepare a deposit and reconcile the day’s receipts.
- Price new donations and places them on the shelves in the service counter area.
- Assist in other areas needed.
Pick Up Assistant – Thursday and Saturday mornings only
- Assist with pick up service
- Ride in the Habitat Re-Store truck
- Help with loading and unloading of donations
